How do I register my Extended Warranty?
  1. Make sure the following are ready:
    • A valid Synology NAS product serial number
    • An Extended Warranty license key
    • A Synology Account
  2. Sign in to your Synology Account.
    Before proceeding with the next step, make sure your Synology NAS has been added to your Synology Account.
  3. Click "⋮" icon on the right to the model field, and click Register Extended Warranty.
  4. Fill in the Extended Warranty license key, and click Next.
  5. Confirm the Extended Warranty registration information, and click Register to complete the process. Once the process is complete, the license cannot be transferred to any other Synology product anymore. Please make sure the information is correct.
  6. Now you can view the license valid date from Synology Account.

Notes:

  1. The license valid date displayed on your Synology Account is calculated based on the manufacture date of your Synology NAS. The actual warranty period of your Synology NAS starts from the date you purchased the Synology NAS. Please always keep the purchase receipt or invoice. If you cannot present the purchase receipt or invoice at the time you make a warranty claim, the date of manufacture will be referred to as the starting date of the warranty period.
  2. We do not accept returns of Extended Warranty packs. However, if your Synology NAS malfunctions, the remaining period of the Extended Warranty can be migrated to a new Synology NAS of the exact same model received from the Synology Replacement Service (SRS) or from your warranty claim.
